Now & Then = Shelley Miller, vocals, Dave Johns, guitar and vocals, and Hank Alrich, guitar and vocals. These three have been playing together for decades, beginning in early 1988 as three-fifths of the locally legendary acoustic swing quintet, Porch Swing, and segueing into this trio format circa 2006.
They love playing together, and they love this music, a repertoire of hundreds of songs – standards, Latin tunes, a few quasi-modern classics, and a few songs pulled from Hank’s stash of engaging originals.
For years the trio has enjoyed the support of an extensive network of fans among music aficionados living in the watershed of el Rio de Las Plumas, as well as many farther-flung fans captured while they were visiting one of our nation’s most inviting recreational areas, AKA “the Feather River Country”, in Plumas County, California.
The setting will be nice and shady in Old Towne for this three o’clock in the afternoon opening of the third annual Plumas Homegrown Americana Festival, presented at Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy CA 95971 USA.
Bring your thing, and Now & Then will bring swing!
