John Conquest addresses gender inequity in the music business with his annual “all women, all day” showcases. For those of you who’ve been wishing to hear Shaidri sing lead for a whole set this should qualify as a “Special Event”. Last year she filled a cancellation slot and wound up getting very positive reviews. She’ll probably bring her ol’ dad along as sideman.
